Terms and Clarifications

Here we clarify methodological aspects and the purpose of the WaggonersWay platform for a correct understanding of the educational content.

By this term we refer to the study of the evolution of how people and goods have moved over time, with a focus on trade routes, postal roads, and transport routes that have shaped socio-economic development. Our analysis is qualitative and contextual, based on period documents and historical maps.
No. WaggonersWay is exclusively an educational and research project. Our content describes and analyzes routes from a historical and infrastructure perspective, but does not provide recommendations for current travel, bookings, or tourist guidance.
We use materials from public archives, academic studies, and specialized documentation. Contemporary photographs illustrating infrastructure are sourced from the Pexels platform (open source), and historical maps are digitized from freely accessible collections. Each material is properly attributed.
WaggonersWay is supported through research grants for education and culture, as well as through voluntary contributions from collaborators. We do not generate commercial revenue, have no paid advertising, and do not charge fees for access to educational content.
Our purpose is strictly educational. Although our research can provide valuable context, we do not issue technical approvals, participate in tenders, or offer consultancy services for current infrastructure or transport projects.
